Mirna Oštarić Kerr - Zvjezdani Zidovi, performans u Kapetanovoj Kuli Zadar

Born in Zadar, I am an artist and graphic arts educator with a Master’s degree in Art Education and diploma in contemporary jewellery design.

My work, including the series Starry Walls, explores the interplay of texture, memory, and space through abstract “celestial maps” created with frottage and graphic materials.

I have exhibited in Croatia and internationally, continuously blending photography, printmaking, jewelry, drawing and spatial narratives into my artistic expression.

I am an active member of Croatian Design Society, Croatian Association of Visual Artists and Croatian Association of Artists of Applied Arts.

Textures, memories, and everyday objects often guide my creative process, becoming part of a personal visual language that balances concept and emotion. Whether through frottage on centuries-old stone or experimental jewelry made from found materials, I explore the layers of identity, space, and the poetic potential of the ordinary. Art is my way of making sense of the world — gently, thoughtfully, and with a sense of play.
